How many questions are on the theory test?
The DVSA theory test has 50 multiple choice questions. You have 57 minutes to complete them.
What is the pass mark for the theory test?
You need to answer at least 43 out of 50 questions correctly (86%) to pass the multiple choice part.
What topics are covered in the theory test?
The test covers 14 categories: alertness, attitude, safety and your vehicle, safety margins, hazard awareness, vulnerable road users, other types of vehicle, vehicle handling, motorway rules, rules of the road, road and traffic signs, documents, incidents/accidents/emergencies, and vehicle loading.
Is the theory test available in other languages?
The official DVSA theory test is only available in English and Welsh. However, our app provides translations to help you study in your own language.
